Semi-furnished rentals in Uganda — what "included" really means

Semi-furnished is the most ambiguous label in Kampala listings. One landlord means kitchen cabinets; another means everything but sheets.

Ask item by item

Bed, mattress, wardrobe, sofa, dining, fridge, cooker, microwave, curtains, AC units — tick what stays.

Condition at handover

Photo each item. "Working fridge" should cold-test on viewing day.

Replacement if it breaks

Who fixes or replaces appliances included in rent?
